Please join us for an exploration of art, identity, and conflict in writing as a veteran. 2021 Veterans Writing Award winner Brian O’Hare will read from his new short story collection Surrender. Following the reading a panel of veteran novelists and writers will discuss the power of narrative in their writing. Kicia Sears, Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) Evaluation Associate and former adjunct faculty member in the Syracuse University Department of Writing Studies, Rhetoric, and Composition will facilitate the talk. A reception and book signing will follow.
