August is Women in Translation Month, a project founded in 2014 to raise awareness of the gender gap in translated literature. The Booker Prize shared ten books, nominated for the International Booker Prize to read in August including The Book of Disappearance: A Novel by Ibtisam Azem and translated from the Arabic by Sinan Antoon.
