Examines queerness in the literary works of Micheál Ó Conghaile and Cathal Ó Searcaigh.
Teanga don Tost examines the work of two of the most influential contemporary Gaelic writers—Micheál Ó Conghaile and Cathal Ó Searcaigh—through the lens of queerness, identity, and desire. It is the first full-length Irish‑language study to explore their writing using queer theory, offering new interpretations of themes such as sexuality, silence, and cultural belonging.
