In this novel in verse, Eithne Ní Ghallchobhair tells the story of a devious man called Mac Aoidh who snatches a mermaid’s shawl, knowing she can never return to her own world deep in the ocean without it. The mermaid is now imprisoned, a fish on dry land under his coercive control, until the day comes when she is presented with an opportunity to escape.
