About the Author
Arleen Rainis Bessette is a mycologist and botanical photographer, as well as a clinical psychologist, who has been collecting and studying wild mushrooms for several years. She has authored or coauthored five books including Mushrooms of North America in Color and Wildflowers of New York in Color.
Alan Bessette is a mycologist and professor at Syracuse University. He has published numerous professional papers in the field of mycology and has authored or coauthored twelve books including Edible and Poisonous Mushrooms of New York.
