"A journey across a landscape of experiences. Rising above the story of her own family and her own people, the narrator becomes witness to the play of human lives."—Indian Review of Books
"The Walled City is the portrait of a modern Indian metropolis, executed with craft and diligence and the resigned love of one whom the city has made its own."—Biblio
