Join us for a conversation with authors Nina Shengold and Peter Lourie on finding wonder in the waterways of Upstate New York.

Nina Shengold is an award-winning author, playwright, and screenwriter.  Her book Reservoir Year: A Walker’s Book of Days chronicles her experience walking the Catskill’s glorious Ashokan Reservoir.

Peter Lourie has written books about his journeys on many rivers, from the Amazon and the Everglades to the Yukon and the Missouri. River of Mountains: A Canoe Journey Down the Hudson recounts his solo trip from the source of the Hudson to the mouth at New York Harbor.

Laura Fish is an acquisitions editor at Syracuse University Press, where she acquires scholarly, nonfiction, and fiction book projects related to Middle East studies, Geography, and New York State studies.
