Milwaukee’s Islamic Resource Center is hosting Anna Mansson McGinty, Caroline Seymour-Jorn, and Kristin Sziarto for a launch of their new book Muslims in Milwaukee: Placemaking, Belonging, and Activism. The event will be Wednesday, May 20 at 7 p.m.

Tamara Helfer will be discussing her new translation of The Winding Road: My Childhood Years by Rokhl Feygenberg at the Jewish Community Center of Syracuse on May 28 at 6:30 pm. Register for the event here.

Amherst Books will be hosting Malcolm Sen for a launch of his new book Irish Anthropocene. A book talk, poetry reading, and signing will be followed by light refreshments.

SU Press authors Molly Ferguson and Marion Quirici will be launching their new books at the American Conference for Irish Studies Annual Meeting on May 30, 2026 in Denver, CO. Molly Ferguson is the author of Banshees, Hags, and Changelings: Feminist Folklore Transformations in Irish Writing and Marion Quirici is the author of Fitness for Freedom: Disability, Degeneration, and Modern Irish Writing. 

The Markaz Book Club will be reading The Man of Middling Height by Fadi Zagmout for their May pick. They will meet to discuss the book with the author on online on Sunday, May 31 at 1 pm EDT. Register for the event here.

The Dr. Bernard Heller Museum at Hebrew Union College is hosting Matthew Baigell for a discussion on his new book Heritage: Jewish Artists in America since 1900 on June 2, 2026 at 6 pm.

The Press will be attending the annual New York State History Conference on June 11 and 12 at Marist University in Poughkeepsie, NY.
