The children’s book explores the history and traditions of Syracuse University.
Flipper and Dipper and the Treasures of Six Bird was inspired by a tour of the Syracuse University Archives. The tale began as a series of bedtime stories from the vivid imagination of the author’s beloved grandmother, Frances Kantrowitz. Wendy Morton has taken her grandmother’s original characters and continued their adventures for the next generation. Proceeds from this book will go to the Syracuse University Archives to contribute to preserving the legacies of those friends and loved ones lost on Pan Am 103.
The Honorable Wendy S. Morton is a 1989 graduate of Syracuse University and a 1992 graduate of Widener University School of Law. She is a judge in Arizona, where she lives with her husband and two children. Judge Morton writes and paints in her spare time. She is the author and illustrator of a nationally award-winning coloring book called Court Story, which is distributed free of charge to teach children about the legal system.
